my sister’s family | charlotte family photographer

This is just how it is for family of a photographer—you might get your photos done by someone you know and love, but you’ll probably be last in line to get yours edited.  And so it goes with my own personal photos—and my very neglected personal blog—and, to a lesser extent, my sister’s family session that we did while they were visiting over the Thanksgiving weekend.  Her family’s images were admittedly in line behind a weekend full of mini sessions and a few events that I needed to edit.  I think she was starting to panic by the end of the first full week of December that she wouldn’t get her Christmas cards done in time.

I actually hadn’t taken any family pictures for my sister in nearly 3 years—unfortunately, there hadn’t been enough downtime in our visits together to do so.  I was so excited that we had set aside time during their visit in November to capture some images of their handsome family—I say handsome because she has three boys—and even a few of all of the cousins together.  Fortunately the weather cooperated and we were able to make a fun time of it.  My nephews were good sports during our photo shoot with promises of plenty of time to play on the suspension bridge, run around, and even check out the horses.  I’m so glad we took this time—looking at these faces over and over again, now that my sister’s family is back home in Atlanta, makes me just so happy.

{and a cousin shot.  :) }
